Smoking is both expensive and detrimental to health. Increasingly it is also being perceived as being antisocial. More and more people who smoke are seeking to give it up. Indeed, many millions have already quit, often without any help or support. My wife got up one day, decided she wasn’t going to smoke again, and hasn’t done so for over a quarter of a century.
Having said that, many people have found it easier to give up when they received support and adopted a systematic approach to giving up. Hypnosis can be a useful tool for anyone who has decided to quit.
Stopping smoking is one of the most common reasons that people come to a Hypnotherapist. In our approach hypnosis is used to increase motivation and to reinforce will power. When an individual achieves greater control over his or her mind, it is easier to stop smoking. It is important that people should enjoy being a non smoker more that they ever enjoyed being a smoker.
I am a local representative for the National Stop Smoking Centres.
