Hypnotherapy – a way to get greater access to your own power and to use it to make your life work better
It has been said (Rudyard Kipling) that words are one of the most powerful drugs known to mankind. By skilfully using words we can build confidence, self-esteem and well-being. Equally if used clumsily or maliciously words can be used to undermine, demoralise, and weaken. The placebo effect is an example of words being used to heal.
The role of the hypnotherapist is to use words in a particularly skilful way that enables the client to resolve or make progress with their issue. The hypnotherapist has been trained in powerful techniques that enable him or her, by using words, to achieve results that can at times seem almost magical. It is not the power of the therapist that achieves the results. Rather, the hypnotherapist enables the client to access their own power in a way that they haven’t been able to do, up to that point.
